Feeling stressed or overwhelmed?
How meditation can help you reduce stress
1During meditation we activate the prefrontal neural framework of the brain, our decision making center, and reduce the activity in the amygdala, which manages our “fight or flight” response. When we practice meditation we reduce the tendency of the mind to wander, a wandering mind is an unhappy mind meditation can increase our sense of well-being by being more present in what is going on in the moment.
Lower Stress
2Balance the nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is made up of two parts, one that keeps us awake and one that helps us sleep. Stress can cause an imbalance between these two parts. Meditation has been shown to restore the balance and help you achieve the relaxation you need.
